Systems for Managing Research Grants:
There are a number of systems available that can assist in effectively monitoring and managing the budgetary aspects of a research grant during its lifecycle.
Department RGAs may - depending on their Department's policies - be able to request access to either the Cambridge University Finance System (CUFS) or to Cognos, both of which can be used to run a variety of reports and to query expenditure.
Award / Project Status Report: The most commonly utilised reports in CUFS for monitoring expenditure are the Award Status Report, and Project Status report. Both provide a top level overview of the expenditure charged to an award or project, matched against the budget.

Billing Report: Alternatively, to query a list of expenditure items charged against an award, project or task, the CUFS Billing Report can be utilised.
