Impact - Resources, Examples and Writing Tips

We would like to invite all academic staff in Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences to attend a workshop on understanding, planning, and evaluating impact. It will take place on:

Tuesday, 8 May at 2pm at 17 Mill Lane, Seminar Room B, first floor

This session will be particularly relevant for people considering applying for funding from the Research Councils and those interested in raising the public profile of their research.

This workshop has four objectives:

-          To  discuss the broad definitions of impact and build an understanding of what recent developments in the impact landscape mean for researchers working in the arts, humanities and social sciences

-          To introduce resources and tools available at Cambridge University and elsewhere for designing, delivering and measuring the success of impact activities

-          To study examples of successful impact plans

-          To critically analyse examples of “Pathways to Impact” documents (i.e. a vital parts of any UK Research Council application) and to introduce basic “Pathways to Impact” writing tips.

If you are interested in attending please register below. If you have any questions, please contact Julianne Pigott at  Julianne.Pigott@admin.cam.ac.uk  or Anna Cieslik at amc238@cam.a.uk.
