• two mid-career researcher with experience as Principal Investigators on externally funded research grant
• two early career researchers/postdocs
• College based researcher
• Dr Anna Cieslik and Dr Elizabeth Penner, AHSS School Research Facilitators

Terms of Reference

(a) to support the implementation of the School strategy for research;

(b) to support best practice for the implementation of the Faculty and department research strategies;

(c) to consider the practical implementation of strategic issues relating to research funding (grants, other sources) and themes;

(d) to review research funding trends, including a balanced and sustainable research portfolio, overhead recovery and philanthropic funding for research) and make practical suggestions to positively influence these in the light of the School’s research strategy;

(e) to suggest strategies that enable the development of large interdisciplinary projects, whether internal to the School or involving external partners;

(f) to reflect on issues relating to research resources (space; IT; administrative support within and across Faculties; philanthropy etc.);

(g) to share notes termly with Council
