I work on international order which invariably involves following US politic/foreign policy. I am US trained and have US citizenship (among others).

Research Interests

Intellectual origins of the so-called 'American Century' through the prism of the First World War and the histories of American state theory/federalism/democracy.

Research Interests

I work on the political thought and intellectual history of Britain and the United States during the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. My work has focused on ideas about empire and world order, and on the role of technology in shaping the political imagination. I have also written on the history of African-American political thought.
