Hannah's research focuses on the relationship between religion, culture, and politics in the contemporary United States. Specifically, her PhD addresses Orthodox Jewish and Latter Day Saint responses to the 2024 presidential election.

My work is inspired by American philosophical pragmatism, namely G.H. Mead's social philosophy. I have lived and worked in various US universities since the early 2000s. I have strong personal and professional links with US scholars to this day.

Ella McPherson is Associate Professor of the Sociology of New Media and Digital Technology, and her research addresses US-relevant topics from Silicon Valley Big Tech to the Adirondack hermit imaginary.

I study power relations in war, revolution, and culture, focusing on the United States, Europe, and the Middle East. My current book project examines US military campaigns from the 1960s onwards. I teach a course on US history from the War of Independence to the present.
