Biography
I gained my PhD in Sociology from the University of Edinburgh in 2008, subsequently working on large ESRC and ERC projects as both a researcher and project manager. Having designed and managed an administrative team supporting REF 2021 submissions across the arts, humanities and social sciences at Cambridge, and following an extensive period of secondment working on REF assessment for Research England (2018-2022), I currently support post-REF strategy across the School of Arts and Humanities and the School of the Humanities and Social Science, while also providing advice around funding, research environment and bid opportunities as School Research Facilitator. I have spent over a decade as a research support professional, managing projects from concept to completion, and combined this with postdoctoral research, publishing around archival, cultural and social research, in particular around women's social histories, methodologies and the use of documents of life in sociological analysis.
