Research Interests

I research and write about Modern and Contemporary Art of the Americas, in a transatlantic context. In particular, I'm interested in histories of protest, activism and political coalition and connected artistic movements or practices. My book Women Artists Together: Art in the Age of Women's Liberation, offered a new history of feminism and art in Britain and the United States in the long 1970s.
